I went to have my new phone cellular activated as my phone didn't come with a sim card. I was treated very well especially because I'm "over 65" and sometimes young people think because we're old that we are dumb. This very nice young man named Grant made the experience delightful
Find another ISP asap
Find another ISP! These guys have deceptive policies and terrible customer service. I’ve been with them for 4 years and finally needed to switch over as I couldn’t afford them any longer. I switched my service over on Dec 28, 2024 and then received a full bill a week later stating I owe a full of service from Dec 25 thru Jan 24th. Their fine print wording states they don’t provide credits if you cancel mid month! So I had 3.5 days of service and I was escalated to an jnsensitive and incompetent person in leadership at Soectrum who simply recited their fine print terms. Profits over people is the mantra at Spectrum! No spirit if fairness in their policies or service department. There are much bigger, better, and customer centric ISP providers available. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this one!
Spectrum is a horrible company!
Spectrum is a horrible company! Our internet was on and off all day everyday! We called to cancel because I was fed up and my disabled son was too. We ordered Socket. We were on the phone with Spectrum for a good 45 min. trying to cancel. Then they switched us to another dept. to talk to them for another 20 min. It was supposed to be canceled but we just found out that they never canceled it and were being charged for 2 months we never used. You guys are great Spectrum taking advantage of disabled people !!
Spectrum Horrible Service
I recently used Spectrum for a couple of months and it was by far the worst internet I’ve used. It was going out all the time and customer service was no help and many times said they didn’t see an issue when the internet wasn’t working. Fortunately AT&T started providing service and for 3 months it’s worked perfectly. Stay away from Spectrum, it’s very difficult to cancel and they keep billing us.

Any body want to jump on the ban wagon to start a class action suit against spectrum get in contact with me in a few weeks I'll be having a picket line in Anderson SC spectrum!!!
No longer can send email from phone.
We got 2 new laptops went to setup email but Spectrum didn't recognize our password. Called service, told to change password on our account. Added new password to laptops and 2 cellphones that were working for years. Now laptops work and both phones, one Apple, one Android can receive email but not send them. Called custom service again verified all settings are correct. Their response is phone's are not their equipment sorry you're only going to be able to send email from a computer. WTF?
Spectrum allowed my phone number to be…
Spectrum allowed my phone number to be ported out without my approval. As we all know our phone number is tied to many secured accounts. They used my number to break into my bank accounts and 48K later they took. But these geniuses at Spectrum allowed so far 8 days go by without shutting down my number so the thief has been trying to hack all my accounts. The company is weak security and to save a few bucks its just not worth it.
Disgusted.
I have internet/tv/phone. The only thing that I've had any luck with is the phone. They keep sending out technicians who look in my basement at the cables and tell me everything looks good. I keep losing internet, so my tv service won't stay connected. I contacted support tonight, and this time they told me they can't send out a technician because their system is down. The largest internet company, and you guys can't do the only job you have. Having a manager contact me tomorrow. Short of a HUGE credit, there is nothing they can say to me that will convince me that the service is worth it. But now that I have to switch EVERYTHING I will have to go to my bank, adjust my direct deposit, and cancel all of my services through spectrum before signing up for new services through a new provider. What a headache! SPECTRUM IS UNRELIABLE UNLESS YOU ARE RELYING ON THEM TO FAIL. Also, a little side note. If you do get conned into signing up, refuse the Zumo box or whatever. First of all there are far better internet tv boxes you can buy for a lot cheaper than $60. Returning mine to spectrum was a nightmare. I had to drive 40 miles, three times just to return the darned thing.
Charges continue despite zero service
We lost our house to Hurricane Helene. Cancelling spectrum wasn't top of mind as we tried to find a safe place to live and salvage what we could. When we contacted Spectrum to cancel they REFUSED to cancel and billings for services we did not use since Hurricane Helene. They can see zero usage (especially since the service line to the house was severed) and yet they WILL NOT do the decent thing and not charge us for services we didn't / couldn't use on our last bill. My only recourse is to cancel my three Spectrum Business accounts so they don't get another dime out of me.
Deceptive sales practices
Deceptive sales practices! Stay away! The ad that they will buy out your device is a lie. Spectrum owes me $500 on a buyout and $200 for an activation fee that was not disclosed. It was such a hassle to switch and I am very sad that I did!
