Frustrating experience with Canva’s support team
I’m incredibly disappointed in my experience with Canva’s support team. On January 1st, I logged in to design my yearly binder cover and vision board when I received a pop-up offering me a 14-day free trial. I accepted the offer, but the system glitched, claiming there was an error and instructing me to contact support. What followed was a frustrating three-day ordeal. Despite providing screenshots as proof, Canva support refused to believe me, claiming the trial must have been linked to a different account (it wasn’t). Instead of honoring the offer that their system presented to me, they repeatedly asked for more information, wasting my time with no resolution. Today, when I logged back in, the system finally corrected itself, asking me to confirm the free trial for my account. It allowed me access—just like it should have in the first place. This entire experience left me feeling like Canva’s goal was to make the process so stressful and time-consuming that I would give up rather than fight for what was offered. I didn’t seek out this trial—it was presented to me when I logged in, yet Canva refused to take responsibility for the issue their system caused.
Impossible to cancel Pro plan
I had a pro account but wasn't using it much and decided to cancel. Instead, got offered to pause it in case I change my mind. I paused the account for a few months, but missed their email reminder that it was ending. It was linked to my spare card that doesn't have much money on it. Since then, they keep on trying to charge the card (luckily there is no overdraft on it) and I keep on attempting to cancel the plan every single time. It keeps on confirming that it was done, only to do the same thing next day. This is incredibly frustrating. I'm not even using the account anymore (and have not used any of the premium templates for over 3 months now) but they just keep attempting to charge my card daily. And I keep on cancelling the plan daily. At this point it feels like bullying. Why pretend to have the 'cancel plan' option, if it is impossible to cancel?
Being overcharged by 100% with no acess…
Being overcharged by 100% with no acess signed up with 1 account and added an email for invices to be sent to and have been charged twice a month for nearly 12 months 2 different prices with no access when found out they just keep asking for the same information by different people which is a tatic used so you will just give up trying if there was a minus 5 stars they would get that
Be aware of what you're getting into with a trial subscription
The program does what is expected of it. And the collaboration with AI is very good. My problem is that I was still billed at the end of the trial period despite my cancellation. That's so annoying, you have to go after it again, while it's such a good option that you see with many companies. Anyway, the amount will be refunded within 12 days, but it's a hassle. Know what you're getting into with a trial subscription.
Fraud
Fraud. Ladies and Gentlemen, A delivery for the business cards has not yet arrived. I cancel the subscription with immediate effect. Should a debit still occur, I will immediately reclaim the money through my bank.Sincerely, E. Land Reinhard
Very satisfied with the customer service
Had cards printed but unfortunately the quality and the print were not what I expected so I let them know via email. Less than half an hour after my email I already received a response from Canva that they were going to investigate this. Shortly afterwards another response that it was a problem with the print quality during production and that I would receive my money back. Very satisfied with Canva's customer service.
Completely crooked cut after printing
We designed and printed our wedding invitations at Canva. The design went really well, although the AI improvement suggestions at the end were only halfway useful (but we followed them). We then had them printed via Canva and that was unfortunately a big disappointment. All the edges were cut totally crooked. At first I thought it was my fault and I hadn't centered the frame. But I noticed that the frames are crooked differently on each invitation, so not uniform. Too bad.
One star too much!
One star too much!! What a disgrace of a platform! Quick to take money but the items purchased not fit for purpose. Purchase products don’t come as you buy it. You cannot contact anyone either. Be careful on canva. No option to get a refund either. What you receive on email is not what is showing on canva. Very disappointing
Scammers
Take more than double from your account without permission. And I still can't use problem options. Customer service difficult to reach. And if you reach them you get automated replies. In other words, waste of time and waste of money. Not recommended
You will lose all of your work !
You will think Canva is great until all of your projects disappear. All of my business cards and fliers - gone. My Christmas cards and personal designs - gone. THINK REALLY HARD. There is no Customer Service phone number. There is no way to get your work back, and you have to fight through your credit card to get your money back. Many users are having the same experience. I would give Canva zero stars if it was an option.
